It’s country, but not as you know it!
Featuring blazing violin, gretsch guitar, upright bass, and fantastic four-part bluegrass infused vocals, the Swingin’ Half Nelsons deliver a blend of country music, western swing and great standards from a time gone by.
They take their inspiration from the jazz standards as recorded by Willie Nelson over the years, with a touch of Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grapelli thrown in. It’s hand-clappin’, foot-tappin’ fun as the Swingin’ Half Nelsons take you through a set of songs you’ve forgotten that you loved!
Audience participation is a must as the Swingin’ Half Nelsons wind their way through songs such as “Up above my head” by Frankie Laine, ‘Back in the saddle again’ by Gene Autrey, and more contemporary tunes too, such as “The Joker” by the Steve Miller Band. And of course, there’ll be plenty of Willie Nelson too!
Tickets $20 per person.
Doors open at 8pm. Bar and snacks available to purchase at the event.
See you on the dance floor!!
