Parents and Friends

Parents and Friends of Pulteney General Meeting

An invitation is extended to all members of the School community to attend the first of our two meetings for this Term.

Date: Tuesday 17 May
Time: 7.30pm
Venue: Allan Wheaton House (Pulteney Grammar School), 206 South Terrace Adelaide
Refreshments provided

After a busy few weeks before and after the holidays we continue to have a number of exciting events planned during the year for the Pulteney community –  come along, join in and add your ideas.

Some of our activities focus on continued building of community through “friend raising” activities while others have a fundraising aspect. The current fundraising goal of the P&F over 2021-22 is for the beautification / greening of the Osmond Street precinct.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Parent/Class Reps

The start of 2022 presented further challenges with disruptions caused by pandemic.

However the start of Term 2 hopefully will bring with it opportunities to get things “in order” for 2022, such as filling more of the available P&F class or year level reps roles.

The motto of the P&F “At the heart of the school” recognises …

  • the central role parents play in enabling students the opportunity to attend Pulteney.
  • the importance of providing opportunities for parents to be involved in their child’s school journey through creating a welcoming environment for all students, parents, staff, and friends to share in

Participating in P&F activities is a wonderful way to be involved in school life in whatever time or capacity you have, making friendships with other parents across all levels of the school and importantly creating many special memories that will stay with you long after your child’s school journey has finished.

We encourage parents across all year levels from Junior, Middle and Senior School to become involved either as :

  • Volunteers we could call on occasionally to help at important functions and / or
  • P&F class / year level representatives which are not time-consuming or onerous roles and help to foster a strong sense of community in each year level through being inclusive and helping to build connections between parents.

The 2022 P&F Handbook will be available online from the end of this week for any interested parents who may be considering becoming involved with the P&F and provides helpful information on the Class Representative role. Alternatively you are welcome to contact me via phone or email (details below) to have a chat.

All opportunities help to foster the strong sense of community that is Pulteney Grammar.

We hope you will consider becoming involved.

Canvas – Pulteney’s Learning Management System (LMS)

Parents, please download Canvas prior to Learning Conferences.
Canvas is one the most innovative and adaptable platforms in the LMS landscape, providing a safe online environment for us to design personalised Pulteney courses. Canvas enables students, parents, and teachers to share and exchange detailed information about the teaching and learning process as it develops for each student. Importantly, it serves as the primary platform for reporting your child’s progress, aligning with the continuous reporting strategy implemented this year.

Please use this link to access a step by step guide to get connected to Canvas.
