one ninety, Term 2 Week 3

Last week closed in a spirit of celebration as we hosted parents and students for the 175th Anniversary Quad opening and official opening of the Cambrell renovation. These events speak to community, and the provision of the simple act of spending time together, something which has proved a rare treat in these times. This of course gave another opportunity for members of our Creative Industries class to show off their coffee making skills in the Cambrell Café. Anglican Cup was certainly a highlight of the week and we thank Mrs Emma Bahr and our Sports Captains for hosting such an exciting event for the competing students.

As we enter Week 3, we have spoken with students across the Senior and Middle schools about the need for a step up in the area of uniform, our visual sign that we are a community. As such we ask for your support with ensuring your child is meeting all uniform expectations.  Most outstanding orders from the Uniform Shop have been delivered and we thank parents for their patience if there are pieces you are still waiting for. All students are expected to enter the School each day in winter uniform, unless they have a before school training. For these students, they must change into winter uniform before morning Tutor, and ensure they are there on time. Coaches will allow for this. All students should be in formal uniform and blazer on a Monday, Year 12s on a Thursday and Year 10 and 11s on a Friday for Chapel. On other days you may choose to wear the 190 Polo, and students are expected to change for PE.

This week the Year 12s head off to Woodhouse on Retreat, Thursday is the Cawthorne-Nicholl’s  7-12 House Chapel and the Year 11s enter the final stages of their Work Experience preparation.

A reminder that there is still time to contribute to two important surveys over the coming week, one reviewing our Senior School subject selection processes and the other an opportunity to provide input into our next Masterplan for the school site and I encourage you to share insights into your experience with us.
