Middle School, Term 2 Week 3

Maintaining high expectations

Across the past two years many events and regular occurrences have been cancelled, postponed or amended due to the pandemic. This has created new norms that we now need to redress and return to their pre COVID status. One of those areas is student dress. For the past two years students have come to school in either formal or sports uniform for the entire day as changing has not been occurring. With the return to changing we are now reinstituting some of our formalities around key weekly events.

Students were spoken to at assembly and again today at Chapel to re-establish the norm of wearing full formal uniform to these two key weekly events. Can you please assist your child by ensuring they always wear formal uniform to school every morning, and in addition assisting them to remember that they need to be in full formal uniform for Chapel and Assembly.

We spoke about the little things being key indicators of their ability to be organised and as a reflection on their commitment to school life at Pulteney. Those little things include ensuring their tie is always sitting over their top button, wearing the correct coloured socks (not white with long grey pants) and having skirts at a suitable length.

This is all being done to ensure we are wearing our uniform with pride, looking smart and maintaining high expectations in all areas of our operations. Thanks for your support.
