Middle School

PE Day/ Transition Day

Last Friday the Middle School hosted all the new students as well as our Year 6 students who will be joining the Middle School in 2021 for Transition day.  The day purposely coincides with PE Day, a casual clothes day, with multiple activities having been set up in the Quad for students to enjoy.

The day began with our new students, most ably led by the magnificent House Prefects, spending the morning using their Middle School Passports to find and chat to key people within the School.

After morning tea they were buddied up in groups to participate in a range of fun mini-lessons held in areas of the school that they will be utilising next year.

At lunch there was a range of activities for students to participate in such as the climbing wall, table tennis, volleyball and multiple other activities.  The activities make it easy for the new and old to get to know each other. The atmosphere at lunchtime was magnificent with the Quad being packed with students of all ages all being engaged with and enjoying the multiple activities.

After lunch the new students and Year 6s participated in the Amazing Race, and race they did! The groups managed to get to each of the stations in record time and quite possibly they now know more about the school than I do!

It was a great day! Our students were magnificent in engaging with the new students assuring that everyone was included and looked after.
