Lego Challenge

It gives us great pleasure to announce the First LEGO League Challenge team for 2020. This year, the school will be represented by Charles Delin, Thomas Mitchell, Owen White, Mark Xu, Lincoln Davey, Joshua Song, Tai Le, Emma Totman, Joshua Holmes and Nicholas Hillen.

First LEGO League is a STEM-based competition with three core parts. Firstly, the team designs a LEGO robot and programs this device to complete a series of challenges on a game board. The second part of the competition involves an inquiry project. Students work with an industry mentor to address a real-world problem and propose a suitable innovative solution. This year’s theme is ‘Game Changers’ and will look at innovation in the sporting arena. For the final part of the competition, the team must demonstrate how they have applied the core values of First LEGO League, which include teamwork, ‘Coopertition’ and ‘Gracious Professionalism’.

We wish the Pulteney Pro Programmers all the best as they embark on this challenge commencing 1 August and culminating on 8 November with the Regional Championships, which for the first time are to be held at Pulteney.
