Instrumental and Music Lessons

This year, we already have over 240 students registered to have one to one instrumental and vocal lessons with one of our 16 music tutors. Information regarding your child’s instrumental or vocal lessons will be out by the end of this week.

If you have not heard from us by week 3 please contact Ali O'Connell (ali.oconnell@pulteney.sa.edu.au) for assistance.

Several of our ensembles have also started rehearsals, the rest will start next week. If you have any queries in this matter please let Ali know or contact me at jonathon.rice@pulteney.sa.edu

The performing arts faculties are very excited about 2018, as we build on the huge success of 2017. This year we will have the biggest group of Pulteney students going to the National Stage Band and Jazz Vocal competitions ever with approximately 60 students competing in five divisions across the three day event (4-6 May 2018). If you are planning to go to Mt Gambier to support the groups, please make your accommodation bookings ASAP as the city always books out every year.

There are some exciting and important events on the calendar this term, and in the next edition, I will outline these events, especially the 2018 Music Cabaret to be held on Friday 6th April 2018.

Music and Drama Captains 2018

I am also pleased to announce the 2018 Music and Drama Captains. These wonderful students were presented with their badges at the week 1 whole school assembly. The Drama Captains are Kate Watts and Isabelle Denham and the Music Vice Captains are Delys Russell and Maya Clarke with the Music Captain Alexander Newman.

Here's to a fantastic and rewarding 2018.
