Pulteney Grammar Sports App

We are delighted to be able to announce the launch, last week, of the Pulteney Sports App.  As well as being the ‘go to’ place for information about our sports program, it provides many other functions including: taking attendance, families indicating prior to practices and games they are able to attend, player reviews, player welfare monitoring, group messages, whether enabling our coaches to better perform their roles.  All of course delivered to your smart phone as opposed to email inbox.

If your son or daughter is involved in co-curricular sport, it is important that whatever sub-school they are in, you download the app.  It is our intention to ‘switch off’ the ‘Sport this Week’ section of the website at the beginning of Week 6.

To download the app please go to the Appstore (ios) ot GooglePLay (android) and search for Pulteney Grammar.  Your unique user name and password has been emailed the address that the School has on our database.

Should you experience any issues downloading, operating or understanding how the app works please contact our partners gojaro:

Information Screens

To assist in communicating information and news about the sports program there is now a large screen in the foyer of the Sports Hall.  The information is also included on the screens in the C4SL and Middle School.

Anglican Cup

After a wonderful day of competition, Pulteney narrowly retained the Anglican Cup.  The standout team performances came from our boys and girls basketball teams, our netball team and girls soccer team who went through the day unbeaten.

Congratulations to Sophie Rundle and Jess Simons who were further acknowledged with the ‘Fair Play’ Awards in their sports.

Football’s back

Our Prep, 6/7, Senior girls’ and boys’ teams have been in action since Week 2.  Our   Kurrajong Auskick started last week and our 8/9 got going yesterday.  Our 8/9 and Senior Girls and Boys have been entered into the State Knock Out Championships and while the boys 1st XVIII came up just short in their 1st Round games, our girls 1st XVIII has progressed to Round 2 with very impressive wins over St Aloysius and St Dominic’s. Our 8/9 take on Mercedes and Seacliff High next week.

Junior League Volleyball

In 2018 we entered 3 teams into Volleyball SA’s Junior League competition – the highest standard junior volleyball in South Australia – and then travelled to Melbourne to compete at the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup (AVSC) in Melbourne. This year we have 6 teams in Junior League and preparing for the AVSC, being held this year on the Gold Coast.

We are also delighted that former Pulteney volleyball coach, Lucy Ambagsheer, has recently been selected to play for the Australian Volleyroos and is currently representing Australia in Europe.
