Pulteney’s annual Remembrance Day Service is a very special moment in our School year. On Friday 10 November, we welcomed Old Scholars and their partners, past staff and parents, who joined our students from Kurrajong to Year 11 in the Quad. The 2018 Student Leaders assisted in marking the service and sacrifice of Pulteney Old Scholars and Queens Old Scholars at war.
I extend my thanks to Mark Bourchier and the Community Relations Team, the Music staff for such beautiful accompaniment to our School's recognition of our important heritage and our Grounds & Maintenance Team for their support.
In speaking with Old Scholars at the luncheon held after the service, they expressed how touched they were by the level of engagement & respect they witnessed amongst the students and staff.
Pulteney students from Years 5, 6 and 8 enjoyed tremendous success in the recent Lego League Competition held on Sunday 12 November. Further details about this outstanding result can be found in this edition of Pulteney Review. I congratulate the following students for their contribution to the team’s success. It gives me great pleasure to announce the following appointments:
In Kurrajong, three Early Learning Centre Teachers have been appointed for 2018. We congratulate Enid Behrens, Tahlia Taylor and Katrina White. Todd Kerber will be replacing Alice May in her absence as the Director of Out of School Hours Care until January 2019.
Gen Corbo and Brooklynne McKenna have been appointed to replacement teaching positions in the Prep School for 2018 and Sue Mavropoulos has been appointed full time as Pulteney’s Gifted and Talented Coordinator and Teacher.
Jacob Curnow will join Pulteney from his current position at Keith Area School as a replacement Maths Teacher (Middle School and one ninety) for 2018.
We look forward to their contributions in 2018.
It gives me great pleasure to share with you the wonderful news that Tiffany Anders (Prep School) and her partner Alex are expecting their first child due to arrive around May 2018. We wish them every happiness.
Pulteney Grammar School’s annual ceremony to celebrate the academic year will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, commencing at 7.00pm.
Attendance is required for all students in Year 10, 11 and 12, and all prize winners in Kurrajong, Prep and Middle School. Students must be dressed in formal School Winter Uniform.
Students, and accompanying parents, from Kurrajong, Prep and Middle School are also welcome to attend.
