Pulteney Grammar School is an Anglican, co-educational, Early Learning (pre-reception) to Year 12 school. All staff are required to contribute to the pastoral care programme, to be actively involved in co-curricular activities and to be supportive of the Anglican ethos of the school. Recruitment and selection procedures reflect our commitment to the safety and protection of children in our care.

Selection Criteria


Applicants for all teaching positions at Pulteney Grammar School must be able to demonstrate

  • high levels of classroom competence;
  • superior curriculum knowledge;
  • high levels of pastoral care;
  • skill and warmth in communicating with parents; and
  • an ability to articulate and support the educational philosophy of the school

General

Applications should address the Specific Criteria and include a curriculum vitae and the contact details of three professional referees. Where relevant, one of these should be the applicant’s current employer.

This will be the basis of selection for short-listing. Brevity in applications is essential. At interview, short-listed candidates will be asked to demonstrate how well their professional abilities meet the General and Specific Criteria.

The school may require short-listed candidates to teach a demonstration lesson in a class relevant to the position.

In addition, all applicants must be registered, or be able to be registered, to teach in South Australia and have completed training in Mandatory Notification and Basic Casualty Care. Evidence of this should be attached to your application.
